A new video artwork by Miguel Chevalier created especially for The Mayor Gallery’s booth at Tefaf 2025; Cyberspace – Data Landscape is a virtual city made up of wired buildings unfolding before our eyes, combined with a data universe of 0s and 1s. These two numbers, which make up the binary code, symbolize the massive data we generate every day around the world: digital images and videos published online, transactional records from online purchases, GPS signals from cell phones... Without beginning or end, this ever-changing meta-city generates itself. The networks interweave and overlap, creating hypnotic kinetic effects. A sense of cyberspace emerges from this complex network, like structured chaos. This electronic mesh embodies the limitless digital consciousness of a planetary brain.
