According to the artist’s widow, Mary Morrison, this work was produced by a display technician at the American Museum of Natural History in New York working to Apple’s instructions. It was presented in the Bianchini exhibition on a plinth alongside a similar work with a white plexiglass ‘waterfall’ (see next entry).
